I've been going to Cricket's for several years, usually a few times when I come up to visit the grandparents. Monday is a must like others have mentioned because of the chicken. Not the healthiest of choices, but it's still delicious. People do smoke in the bar area too which is a little eh, but if you can put up with it, then it's not a problem. The people there have always been friendly and the service has always been great. There is a dog named Harley that sits in the bar area, but no worries, he doesn't go into the dining area. He's also a sweetheart :) My sister really likes their steak sandwich (steak on top of bread, really) so if you're not into the chicken, you can try that instead :p

Cricket's is our local Northwoods go to. The fish fry is great, would be better if they had perch or bluegill, Chris' wild rice is second to none (I could eat an entire pot of this stuff, no joke), the prime rib is astounding and seasoned perfectly and the BS is world class. As far as the whole menu, expect supper club meets pub. The soups, especially the clam chowder, are great. Dinners are served complete with relish trays and warm bread. Never have had a bad meal here and have never left without a smile on my face.

I was lead astray by these reviews. While the food is decent to good the decor and facilities need a massive overhaul. I'm from Wi and can appreciate the hole-in the wallness feel about this place however I doubt would pass a health inspection. If your a thrill seeker you'd love it.

Friendly little place on Hwy 70 west; Monday night is their chicken special. You get half a broasted chicken, small cup of cole slaw, corn and fries. Not the healthiest meal, but delicious and at 7 bucks, a deal. The pint of MGD to wash it down was $2 . Watching the resident dog greet all who entered and walking on the bar stools....priceless.

Delicious fish fry. The very best. What makes it better is when someone standing by the bar elbows the taxidermy fox and the fox falls onto someone's table.
